On Cyber Monday 2019, the iRobot Roomba 675 is on sale for $200. iRobot

Updated 12/02/2019 at 10:57 pm ET

There are a lot of iRobot Roombas on sale during Cyber Monday. Great news for anyone who hasn't converted from the traditional handheld vacuum to a robot vac that can clean with the touch of a button or even your voice.

Many big retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart drop prices on Roombas throughout the year, but the savings aren't huge — Cyber Monday is when prices can drop a few hundred. There are also a ton of models in general, so we've curated this list to be the Roombas worth buying at retailers with the best deals. In fact, three of them are highly-rated in our robot vacuum buying guide.

If you're shopping around, check out this sale on the Dyson V8 vacuum for $250. We're also tracking all the best Cyber Monday deals so you can find great products at great prices.

The 6 best Roomba deals of Cyber Monday 2019:

1. iRobot Roomba i7+ (7550), $699 at Amazon; $699.99 at Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond, originally $999.99 [You save at least $300]

2 iRobot Roomba i7 (7150), $499 at Amazon, Lowe's, and Walmart; $499.99 at Best Buy, originally $699.99 [You save at least $200.99]

3. iRobot Roomba 670, $197 at Walmart (originally $329.99) [You save $132.99]

4. iRobot Roomba 675, $199.99 at Amazon and Lowe's, (originally $299.99) [You save $100]

5. iRobot Roomba e5 5150, $279 at Amazon; $279.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond and Best Buy; $329.99 at Target (originally $379.99) [You save at least $95]

6. iRobot Roomba 960, $399 at Amazon; $399.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond; $469.99 at Target (originally $649.99) [You save at least $250]

Note that these sale prices don't reflect additional savings you might get for having store credit cards with rewards, like Target's RedCard or Amazon's store card, or cash back, like Kohl's Cash.

Why these are the best Roomba deals:

1. We rated the i7+ (currently $699) as the best self-cleaning robot vacuum for its extreme convenience and ease of use. After it's finished with a cycle, it self-docks at the base and dumps all the dust and hair it picked up in there. Thirty cycles later, you can clear out the base out instead of manually emptying out the robot vac after each use. Here's a full review. Naturally, there's a high price tag, but this is the lowest we've ever seen for the i7+.

2. While the i7 (currently $499) doesn't have the self-cleaning feature, it's just as powerful as the i7+. It's also a lot cheaper and has 10x more suction power than models in the 6 series, which are also on sale.

3.If you're looking for an efficient Roomba under $200, the 670 model (currently $197) is a slightly older entry-level robot vacuum that doesn't skimp on the features. It has powerful suction with a three-stage cleaning process, multiple brush heads for various surfaces, and Wi-Fi, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant compatibility so you can control it no matter where you are.

4. The 675 (currently $199.99) is considered to be a newer version of the 670 with all the same features. It was as low as $170 earlier this year, and Lowe's and Amazon have both dropped the price down to $199.99 for Cyber Monday.

5. The e5 5150 (currently $279) is a solid mid-tier robot vac and is the brand's replacement for the 800 series models. It's 5x more powerful than the 675 and 690 models and has a high-efficiency filter that gets 99% of dust, mold, and dog and cat allergens.

6. Though slightly more expensive than the other models here, the 960 (currently $399) has an even more advanced version of the Dirt Detect tech found in the 675 and 690, but with lots of extra features. It can be paired with the app to show you which areas of your space were cleaned, learns your floor plan to clean more efficiently every time, self-dock and recharge when it's low on battery, and even resume cleaning after charging.

How we selected the best deals on Roombas:

We only chose models that meet our high standard of coverage, and that we've either used ourselves or researched carefully. We compared the prices against other retailers like The Home Depot and Amazon and only included the deals that are the same or better (not including promotional discounts that come from using certain credit cards). All deals are at least 20% off, with the occasional exception for models that are rarely discounted or provide an outsized value.

Is a Roomba worth buying?

In a word: Yes.

Our reviewers who have tested different versions of Roombas all say that it's super convenient to run the robot vac while they're at work or just in another room of their house and know that dirt, dust, and all sorts of crumbs will get sucked up off their floors. Check out our reviews of the 980 and the top-of-the-line self-cleaning i7+ for more.

In fact, Insider Picks' VP of Commerce Breton Fischetti even goes as far as to say this:

"The Roomba is the single best apartment purchase I've made in the last couple of years. I set it to run a few times a week while I am at work, and I love getting the app notification that it's finished cleaning. It makes me feel like I've done chores even though I haven't, and I'm always shocked by how much stuff it picks up.

You'd think running it frequently would mean that it would always be empty but the amount of general dust that accumulates every day is always surprising. My allergies are better because of it. If you have a pet, like my brother, it's even more impactful. He bought one after I showed him mine and loves it."

Armed robbers raided an Amazon truck just before Black Friday as package theft runs rampant across the country

A group of armed robbers raided an Amazon delivery truck in Atlanta and stole 60 packages before fleeing. The Atlanta Police Department told Business Insider that the incident happened last Wednesday afternoon in the days leading up to the busiest shopping weekend of the year.More shoppers than ever are choosing online retailers over brick and mortar shops, and Amazon leads the online retail space. As online shopping becomes more popular, theft of holiday packages from US homes are becoming more frequent.Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

A group of armed robbers raided an Amazon delivery truck in Atlanta and stole 60 packages before fleeing.

Investigator James H. White III of the Atlanta Police Department told Business Insider that the incident happened last Wednesday afternoon in the days leading up to the busiest shopping weekend of the year.

According to the National Retail Federation, holiday retail sales in November and December are expected to achieve record revenue of between $727.9 billion and $730.7 billion.

According to White, two Amazon delivery drivers said they were approached by four men while they were driving along their delivery route in southeast Atlanta. Two of the men pulled out guns and proceeded to steal 60 packages before fleeing the scene.

The drivers were unharmed in the incident. White said an investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

Amazon said in a statement to WSB-TV Atlanta that the robbery a "terrible incident" and said it was working with law enforcement and delivery service partners in the investigation.

"We work with every driver to ensure he or she knows that safety is our first priority," the statement said.

On Wednesday, the Atlanta Police Department released a video on its social media accounts giving people tips on how to prevent theft of their holiday purchases during the busy shopping season.

"The holiday season is a perfect opportunity for criminals to steal valuable gifts and packages from your home," officer James Dimaso said in the video.

The police department recommends requiring a signature for packages delivered to your workplace, scheduling deliveries for when you're home, using a smart package locker, or installing cameras outside your home.

A 2017 report found that nearly 26 million Americans have had a holiday package delivery stolen from outside their residence.

"Around the country, more than 1.7 million packages are stolen or go missing every day — adding up to more than $25 million in lost goods and services," The New York Times reported citing an analysis done for the newspaper by engineering professor José Holguín-Veras, the director of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Center of Excellence for Sustainable Urban Freight Systems.

Online shopping hit a milestone in February, with more shoppers choosing online retailers over brick and mortar shops for the first time in history, according to a report from the Commerce Department. Amazon leads the online retail space, becoming the world's largest online retailer earlier this year.

Everlaw announces $62M Series C to continue modernizing legal discovery

On Monday, Amazon announced a new quantum computing service called Amazon Braket, which allows people to access quantum computing technology from the startups D-Wave, IonQ, and Rigetti through the cloud. This is Amazon's first major step into quantum computing, a field where Microsoft, IBM, Google, Intel and other startups are already building computers and doing research.Matthew Brisse, research vice president at Gartner, says that although Amazon Web Services is a bit late to the game, it has the chance to attract the developer community.Click here for more BI Prime stories.

Amazon announced Monday that it's stepping into quantum computing – a new field of computing where Microsoft, IBM, Google, and Intel have already started building.

Quantum computing is still at its early stages, but experts predict that it will be exponentially more powerful than the most powerful supercomputers today and can be used for drug discovery, modeling molecules, logistics planning, and even predicting the stock market.

Already, Microsoft, IBM, Google, and Intel, as well as smaller startups, have gotten started in conducting research and building early quantum computers. Notably, AWS isn't building its own quantum hardware – instead, it's allowing people to access quantum computing technology built by partners through through its cloud.

Now, Amazon's new product, called Amazon Braket, is a service that allows scientists, researchers, and developers to experiment with quantum computing from hardware providers by using Amazon's cloud. Amazon partnered with quantum computing startups D-Wave, IonQ, and Rigetti for this, and this service is now available in preview.

Peter Chapman, former director of engineering for Amazon Prime who became IonQ's CEO IonQ

"It is a step for them into the quantum industry as a whole," Rigetti COO Taryn Naidu told Business Insider. "There's obviously a lot of work from companies like ourselves. They're really focusing on bringing quantum hardware to the user base to make sure it's ready for prime time. It's the first step of Amazon being that conduit."

Already, Boeing plans to collaborate with AWS to use its quantum computing technology for materials science research and more.

Besides that, Amazon Web Services started a Center for Quantum Computing, which brings together experts from Amazon, the California Institute of Technology, and other research institutions to collaborate on research, as well as the Amazon Quantum Solutions Lab, which connects customers with experts at Amazon to find the best way to use quantum computing.

"With quantum engineering starting to make more meaningful progress, customers are asking for ways to experiment with quantum computers and explore the technology's potential," Charlie Bell, senior vice president of utility computing services at AWS, said in a statement. "We believe that quantum computing will be a cloud-first technology and that the cloud will be the main way customers access the hardware.

'Definitely a hot space'

Naidu says the partnership with AWS has been in the works for months, and now, he looks forward to being able to tap into AWS's large ecosystem of users.

Rigetti Computing CEO Chad Rigetti YouTube/Y Combinator

"It gives us the ability to work with those customers," Naidu said. "This is an opportunity for people to get familiar with quantum in an environment they're already on and start understanding what quantum can do for their business."

Naidu says lately, he's seen much more interest in quantum computing from customers, and he can only imagine how much interest AWS has received.

"It's definitely a hot space," Naidu said. "What we're seeing and what I understand they're seeing is a lot more interest from the customers. Typically speaking, when you look at how AWS has traditionally done stuff, it's based on customer interest. When I take a step back and look at the inbound we received, it's changed dramatically."

Experts say that in quantum computing, cloud can be a powerful tool to allow customers to use it because they can write quantum computing code that can run anywhere they want. Previously, Descartes Labs built one of the world's most powerful supercomputers using AWS.

Now in quantum computing, The three partners D-Wave, IonQ, and Rigetti are all taking completely different approaches, and with Braket, customers have access to them all.

Wikimedia commons/D-wave

"We share a common goal with Amazon that more developers and businesses need access to quantum computing, and the cloud is the best way to scale that," Alan Baratz, chief product officer of D-Wave, told Business Insider.

'I'm really excited for them to get into the game'

Matthew Brisse, research vice president at Gartner, says that although AWS is a bit late to the game compared to competitors, he's excited to see AWS embracing quantum computing and it's a "natural fit."

"I'm really excited for them to get into the game," Brisse told Business Insider. "It legitimizes the effort that other vendors are making in this quantum space. It's not just a research project anymore. CIO's can no longer afford to ignore quantum computing."

Brisse says that one advantage AWS has is its ability to offer professional services – which is where the "real money" will be. That's because customers will need help understanding how to use quantum computing.

To some extent, Brisse says, AWS still has some catching up to do because IBM and Microsoft both have a large network of partners. However, AWS can tap into the developer community.

Right now, Brisse says there's a large gap in providing developers with quantum computing resources, and AWS is developing the software to "win the hearts and minds of the developer community." Already, customers are investing in quantum computing as a long term plan, he says.

"Amazon with their Braket program is a really good first step," Brisse said. "It's communicating to the world, hey, we're in this game. They're not too far behind but they don't have a quantum platform. It's kind of a race to see who can get the developer community behind them. Once you get the developer community behind them, that's where the professional services will kick in."

YC-backed Snapboard is a no-code platform for building internal tools

According to documents viewed by Business Insider, Amazon Web Services does not allow its partners to mention rivals like Microsoft and Google Cloud in their "high-visibility content" for conferences like AWS re:Invent, but now allows it in data sheets, flyers, and whitepapers. In a previous version of its partner branding guide from August, AWS disallowed the terms "multi-cloud," "cross cloud," "any cloud," or "every cloud," but as of October, this rule is no longer there.Partners say that they've previously had experiences of having to submit their presentations to AWS for approval, being told to remove mentions of Microsoft Azure and terms like "clouds" and "hybrid cloud," and seeing staff walk around with tape to cover up unapproved phrases.Partners say although AWS previously did not allow them to mention the term "multi-cloud" or anything that suggests there's any cloud besides Amazon's, customers are increasingly choosing to use multiple clouds.Still, in general partners say they understand why AWS enforces these rules, and customers can still check if their products run on other clouds.Click here for more BI Prime stories.

Attention Amazon Web Services conference attendees: You are no longer forbidden from using the words "multi-cloud" or "hybrid cloud."

Amazon kicks off its largest cloud computing event of the year on Monday, when it hosts the latest installment of its re:Invent conference in Las Vegas. One noteworthy — and telling — change to this year's event is in the company's longstanding list of banned words.

After years of strictly enforcing a list of forbidden words, Amazon has loosened its rules. Don't expect to see the names of cloud arch-rivals Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud displayed in prominent places like booth signs, in videos or during on-stage sessions — this is still Amazon's party, of course.

But unlike in years past, Amazon will now tolerate the use of words and terms — in certain circumstances — that allude to the existence of other clouds beyond AWS. Amazon removed its rule forbidding "multi-cloud," "any cloud," "cross cloud," and "every cloud" from its branding guide for partners, as of October.

Still, before the guide was updated, partners said they had to abide by those rules and submit their content for re:Invent to AWS for approval.

The easing of the ban underscores the shifting dynamics of the $214 billion cloud industry more than a decade after Amazon pioneered the business by letting other tech companies rent access to its computing infrastructure. Amazon remains the market leader, but competitors like Microsoft, Google and IBM are chipping away at its share, both directly and through alternative services that let customers combine Amazon's cloud with other products.

Microsoft's surprise win of the Pentagon's $10 billion JEDI contract in October was a particularly humbling blow for Amazon, which was considered the front-runner (Amazon is challenging the government's decision to award the contract to Microsoft, alleging "unmistakable bias").

"AWS has been very successful for a long period of time in part because they adapt to the market quickly and aggressively," said Bailey Caldwell, vice president of cloud solutions engineering at Flexera.  "It's not surprising that they would do the same with their branding guidelines. It's a multi-cloud world, we're just living in it."

An AWS spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider that it has updated its rules, but did not provide further comment.

'They have event police walking around and making sure you're following their rules'

Amazon partners, who have become accustomed to submitting their presentations, content, and even giveaway swag to AWS for approval, have long viewed the banned words with a mixture of amusement and resignation.

AWS "heavily curates" what partners can present at its conferences, and content must be submitted to AWS for review, said Flexera's Caldwell. For example, he recalls AWS telling his company to redact the term "private cloud" from its presentation and instead, to use the term "private IT." Now, with the new branding guide, the term "private cloud" may be approved.

Rubrik cofounders (from left to right) Arvind Nithrakashyap, Soham Mazumdar, Arvind Jain, Bipul Sinha Rubrik

"They have a history of trying to control the message in areas where they want to dominate the market, which is, cloud only exists in public context," Caldwell told Business Insider. "If you're talking about cloud it has to be Amazon."

Amazon is not the only company that restricts partners from mentioning rivals, but Caldwell notes that it gets more flack about it because of how it has disrupted other businesses – for example, AWS launching a database competitor to that of MongoDB's.

"They will always control the message about what they're doing and why they're doing it," Caldwell said. "They're not alone in the space. They just happen to get more attention and grief resulting in it because the list of partners that have gone out of business or been disrupted by Amazon itself is endless."

The lengths that Amazon goes to expunge blasphemous words from its events can come across as draconian.

InfluxData CMO Mark Herring recalls on past occasions seeing AWS staff roam the conference show floor armed with tape to cover up terms like "multi-cloud."

"They have event police walking around and making sure you're following their rules," Herring said. "Even though we might all think they're crazy rules, they definitely enforce it."

Ken Hui, technical marketing engineer at Rubrik, recalls putting together talks for re:Invent, but he had to change his slides because he mentioned there were multiple clouds. For example, he had pictures showing AWS and Microsoft Azure, and he had to remove all references to Azure.

In addition, one of his slides said "clouds," and he says he was told that he shouldn't use the plural. Hui says that while he feels the rules are "a little strict," he says it's AWS's conference and the company is free to have that rule if it wants.

"I was told by the brand department that I shouldn't put anything in there that implies there's more than one cloud in the world," Hui told Business Insider. "My thoughts on that is I don't think Amazon doesn't believe there are other cloud providers...I think what they're trying to say is, we don't want conversations to be talking about having other clouds as an option."

'Amazon takes competition to a new level'

According to documents viewed by Business Insider, as of October, partners cannot mention names or logos of rival clouds in "high-visibility content," like booth graphics, session content, demos and videos, and display ads. However, if their product runs on other clouds, they may mention those specific clouds in data sheets, flyers, and whitepapers.

Amazon Web Services previously did not allow terms like "multi-cloud," "cross cloud," "any cloud," or "every cloud" – language that implies supporting more than one cloud provider. But according to documents from October, this rule is no longer there.

Some partners at this week's re:Invent conference were unaware of the easing of the rules.

Industry veterans say that the reality is, customers are going to go for multiple clouds, and AWS removing its ban on the term "multi-cloud" reflects that. Caldwell says that it's a "requirement" for any large company today.

Clumio cofounder and CEO Poojan Kumar Clumio

"Whether Amazon likes the term, it's actually what customers focus on, and Amazon's key coin phrase is, we do what our customers want," Caldwell said. "That's a little bit disingenuous. They do what customers want as long as it's in support of acquiring more revenue for Amazon."

Herring says that while he understands why AWS has these rules, the reality is, customers are still going to ask partners if the technology can run on other clouds.

"If you look at the main audience that goes to AWS, it's usually a technical person who spends time doing Google searches and [is] on GitHub, looking at other technologies," Herring said. "In some ways, I can understand if I'm a marketing person why they want to do that, but for all practical purposes, it almost doesn't matter. It's a tech savvy audience."

Poojan Kumar, co-founder and CEO of Clumio, says customers will still ask about using multiple clouds regardless of AWS's conference rules.

"If you create the market and you're the leader, you tend to be stringent," Kumar said. "From that perspective, it's not surprising that AWS wants to make it seem like they're the only ones...Similarly what we see is, at the end of the day, customers use multi-cloud. It doesn't really matter if AWS allows it or not because that's the reality anyways."

Star Wars: Hunters is an arena battler set after Return of the Jedi

FaceApp, the viral photo-editing app that can make you look old or swap your gender using artificial intelligence, has come under close scrutiny because of its data security and Russian origins. Back in July, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer wrote a letter to the FBI and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to express his concerns over the national security risk posed by the popular FaceApp app that has proliferated across social media channels. The FBI responded to Schumer in a letter dated November 25th, informing him that FaceApp, along with any other mobile app developed in Russia, was a potential counterintelligence threat. Schumer tweeted a copy of that letter Monday. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

The FBI says that it considers "any mobile application or similar product developed in Russia, such as FaceApp, to be a significant counterintelligence threat."

The popular photo-editing platform FaceApp debuted in 2017, but it exploded in popularity this summer as social media influencers flooded feeds with selfies that used the app's filters to alter their age or gender— usually to hilarious effect. It was even briefly the most popular free app in both the Apple Store and Google Play.

But the Russian-developed app also drew regulatory scrutiny thanks to its data policies: photos added to FaceApp were uploaded to a server for processing before being sent back to the user, but its terms of service did not specify how long the data could be kept.

National security concerns mounted, as people worried that sensitive biometric data could be accessed by a foreign government. When it went viral in July, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer immediately wrote to the FBI and the FTC to express his concern about FaceApp's Russia ties.  The Democratic National Committee also issued warnings to the 2020 Democratic candidates about the app and urged them not to use it.

The Russian government's role in the 2016 election, its pattern of hacking US intelligence, and its longtime history competing with the US in the 20th century formed the foundations of the FaceApp backlash.

The FBI responded to Senator Schumer's letter on November 25th, to say that it considers "any mobile application or similar product developed in Russia, such as FaceApp, to be a significant counterintelligence threat."

The senator shared a copy of the FBI's response via Twitter on Monday, and said this was "a warning to share with your family & friends."

Russia's newly implemented internet sovereignty law requires internet providers to install hardware to allow government authorities to locate and block sources of web traffic. This, along with its privacy and terms of use policies, seems to form the basis for the FBI's concerns.

"The legal mechanisms available to the Government of Russia that permit access to data," made FaceApp, along with any other mobile application developed in Russia a counterintelligence threat, according to the agency's letter.

The letter also warned about Russian intelligence's "robust cyber exploitation capabilities, and warned that authorities could "remotely access all communications and servers on Russian networks," without requests to internet providers.

FaceApp did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In a July statement to TechCrunch, it said it did not transfer any data to Russia, where its R&D team is based.

While many Target TV's are only available for in-store pick-up, this one can be shipped to you. Plus, you'll get a $20 Target gift card with the purchase. Apple Watch Series 4 GPS + Cellular, 44mm Aluminum Case, $449.99 (originally $529.99) [You save $80] Since the Series 4 watch isn't the newest model, you'll see discounts on all of the Series 4 models this Cyber Monday. The fanless design means it's really quiet, plus it's compatible with Google Chrome, so it's loaded with apps from the Google Play Store.Free 128GB SanDisk micro SD Card with Nintendo Switch purchase, $299.99 [$37.99 value] For gamers, the Nintendo Switch is the best of both worlds — a handheld and TV-based gaming console in one. One of the console's flaws, however, is its relatively small storage capabilities (32 GB). This deal gives you 128GB of extra storage for free (a $38 value) so you can keep even more games on your Switch. Most of the Nintendo Switch deals we've seen this Cyber Week haven't actually been discounts on the console itself, but rather free accessories or games, so this deal fits in well. Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Machine, $99.99 (originally $199.99) [You save $100] With just the touch of a button, the Nespresso VertuoPlus will make your favorite espresso drink every time. We saw this same deal at Target on Black Friday, though now you'll get an additional 15% off at checkout, plus a $25 Target gift card. Anova Sous Vide Nano Precision Cooker, $79.99 plus an extra 15% off (originally $99.99) [You save $20 plus an extra 15% off] An extra 15% off brings the price of our favorite high-tech sous vide down to $74. Sous vide machines let you make restaurant-quality meals at home by cooking ingredients at stable, precise temperatures. What makes Anova's even cooler is that you can monitor and control the cooking process outside of the kitchen with your phone. Buy two, get one free on Disney toys From Frozen 2 to Star Wars to the Marvel Universe and beyond, you can pick up toys and merch from all of your favorite Disney franchises for less with this buy-two-get-one-free deal. Graco Extend 2 Fit 65 Convertible Car Seat, $120 (originally $150) [You save $30] Parents love Graco's products — they're easy to install, easy to adjust, and come at a reasonable price. You should never skimp out on your child's safety, but Target's deal does make this bestselling car seat a little more accessible. Thanks to the extension panel and 10-position headrest, it'll grow with your child.

24 products people waste too much money on that you should stop buying immediately

It's easy to crop a video on your Mac computer using iMovie. You'll have two cropping options for videos — Crop to Fill and Ken Burns — and you can play around with these frames and share your cropped video when finished.  Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

While iMovie is a great tool that comes standard with your Mac, you don't have to be an expert editor to use it.

One of the easiest and most basic uses is cropping videos. This can come in handy if you want to focus on a certain part of the frame, or if you want to make a vertical iPhone video look better on social media platforms.

Here's how to do it.

Check out the products mentioned in this article:

MacBook Pro (From $1,299.99 at Best Buy)

How to crop a video on a Mac computer using iMovie

1. Open Finder.

2. Click on Applications.

3. Scroll down to iMovie and open it up.

4. Click on File along the top bar, then click on "New Movie."

5. In the New Movie, you will see a button inviting you to Import Media. Click on that.

6. Once you've clicked on Import Media, it will pull up access to your computer's files. Look through until you find the video you want to crop, then click on it. It will be imported into iMovie.

7. Grab the video file and drag it down into the iMovie timeline.

8. Once it is in the timeline and selected, it will show up in the editing box in the right corner.

9. Click on the crop icon, which is represented by two overlapping right angle corners.

You have two crop options: "Crop to Fill" or "Ken Burns." Ryan Ariano/Business Insider

10. Within the cropping feature, you have the following two options:

"Crop to Fill" automatically crops your video to fit a standard video box. You can move this horizontal rectangle up and down to create a new center of the crop by dragging the rectangle. You can also grab one of the corners and move it to change the crop. In "Ken Burns," named after the famous documentary director, you can make a crop that moves the image through the frame similar to how his documentaries frame videos.

11. Once you have the crop frames the way you want them, move your cursor over the check mark in the right upper corner. A pop-up saying "Apply Crop Adjustment" will appear.

Apply your crop. Ryan Ariano/Business Insider

Your iMovie video will now be cropped.

How to share cropped videos on a Mac

1. Click on File in the top toolbar and then click on "Share."

2. In the next drop-down menu, click on "File…"

Clicl on "File..." under Share. Ryan Ariano/Business Insider

3. This will bring up a menu asking if you want to rename your video, accomplished by clicking in the title box.

4. Once you've decided on a name, click on "Next."

5. A pop-up will come up one last time asking where you want to save this file, and to reconfirm the name.

Confirm the name and file location. Ryan Ariano/Business Insider

6. Click on "Next" and your new cropped video will be saved to wherever you've chosen, with the default location being your Mac desktop.

What makes these deals great:

LG 65" Class OLED C8 Series 4K, $1,969 (originally $2,997) [You save $1,028] If you're looking for a top-of-the-line 4K TV, the LG 65" C8 is the top pick in our buying guide. It has crystal-clear 4K quality, OLED screen, and tons of features that make this deal worth checking out.Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s Instant Camera with 10-pack film, $49 (originally $59) [You save $10] This camera is a popular and highly-giftable item. This is a great deal on a solid kitchen appliance you'll use every day. It can make dishes for up to six people so it's great for a small family or for meal prepping. There's even a "Sterilize" mode for baby bottles and jars.iRobot Roomba 670 Vacuum, $197 (originally $330) [You save $133] If you're looking for an efficient Roomba deal under $200, the 670 model is a slightly older entry-level robot vacuum that doesn't skimp on the features. It has powerful suction with a three-stage cleaning process, multiple brush heads for various surfaces, and Wi-Fi, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant compatibility so you can control it no matter where you are.SodaStream Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker Bundle, $78 (originally $111) [You save $33] If you prefer sparkling water over tap, the SodaStream Fizzi bundle (currently $78) can help save you money in the long run. It can turn basic tap water into sparkling in a few seconds, and this bundle includes two carbonation bottles and two types of fruit flavors in case you're looking to amp up your water even more. Our reviewer was surprised at how easy it was to use; read the full review here.Nintendo Switch Bundle with Bonus 128GB Sandisk Memory Card & Ematic Controller, $299 ($369 value) [You save $70] The Switch itself almost never goes on sale, but you can save today with different Switch bundles. Walmart offers a similar deal as Target by adding a 128 GB memory card, but it sweetens the deal with a wired controller that's compatible with both the Switch and PCs.Theragun White G3 Handheld Deep Tissue Massager, $299 (originally $399) [You save $100] Theragun's famous percussive therapy device has a deep treatment speed as well as a lighter speed to help you relieve muscle pain, speed up recovery times, and release tension. This is the biggest discount we've seen on the high-tech massage gun. It can seem like a big upfront investment, but when you consider the costs of all your spa massage treatments, suddenly the Theragun makes more sense. Barbie DreamHouse, $154 (originally $199) [You save $45] The Barbie DreamHouse (currently $154) is the quintessential toy to gift to kids, and it's at a low price this holiday season. Now that it's under $200, you can cross off another gift purchase off your list.

How to turn off the mouse acceleration feature on a Windows 10 computer, to get more accuracy with your mouse

You can turn off mouse acceleration in Windows 10 if you don't find the feature helpful. Mouse acceleration is a feature that changes the rate at which your mouse pointer moves based on the speed you're moving the mouse — which can harm accuracy when playing games. To disable mouse acceleration, open the mouse settings and turn off "Enhance pointer precision."  Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

In principle, mouse acceleration is a helpful feature in Windows 10 — it proportionally increases the movement of your mouse pointer based on the speed with which you move it across the screen.

That way, you reach your target faster, and work more efficiently. Unfortunately, it also means you're far more likely to overshoot your target, which is annoying in daily use and extremely frustrating when playing games, where accuracy is critical.

The good news is that it's easy to turn off — you just need to disable the ironically named "Enhance pointer precision" setting, which does exactly the opposite of what its name implies.

Here's how to do it.

Check out the products mentioned in this article:

Windows 10 (From $139.99 at Best Buy)

How to turn off mouse acceleration in Windows 10

1. Click the Start button and then click the Settings icon, which is shaped like a gear.

Start by opening the Settings app. Dave Johnson/Business Insider

2. Click "Devices" and then, in the pane on the left, click "Mouse."

3. Click "Additional mouse options."

You need to open Additional mouse options, which opens the old-style Windows Control Panel. Dave Johnson/Business Insider

4. In the Mouse Properties dialog box, click "Pointer Options" to switch to the Pointer Options tab.

5. Clear the "Enhance pointer precision" checkbox.

Turn off Enhance pointer precision to disable mouse acceleration. Dave Johnson/Business Insider

6. Click OK to close the dialog box.

MacBook Cyber Monday deals are going fast — you can get a MacBook Air for just $899 or save $200 on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro

Updated 12/2/19 at 5:45 p.m. ET

Cyber Monday is beginning to wind down, and it is — without a doubt — one of the best times of year to pick up some sweet MacBook deals on all of Apple's laptop models.

Apple's entire lineup of laptops is available at a discount, from the brand-new 16-inch MacBook Pro to the latest 13-inch MacBook Air and everything in between.

As we said, every one of Apple's newest laptop models are up for sale, but we're particularly bullish on the MacBook Air. This is now Apple's cheapest laptop by a long shot, but it certainly doesn't skimp out on features or style. This version includes a high-resolution display and Apple's Touch ID biometric login, for example, which you won't find on many other laptops for just $899.99 — the laptop's current best Cyber Monday deal that's just $100 more than it was on Black Friday.

We're also seeing discounts on the newly-minted 16-inch MacBook Pro, oddly enough. Released mere weeks ago at the same price as the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro that it succeeds, this new version features a larger and sharper display along with a brand-new "Magic Keyboard" that does away with the divisive "Butterfly" keyboard first introduced in late 2016.

Apple has smartened up to the way retail works in the modern era, offering up attractive discounts on all of its laptop computer products, giving you the choice of the litter this Cyber Monday. We've rounded up the best Cyber Monday MacBook deals yet below.

Apple MacBook Air 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) $899.99 (originally $1,099.99) from Best Buy [You save $200]13-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) $1,099.99 (originally $1,299.99) from Best Buy [You save $200]16-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 512GB $2,199.99 (originally $2,399.99) from B&H Photo [You save $200]15.4-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 256GB) $1,999.99 (originally $2,399.99) from PC Richard & Son [You save $400]Apple MacBook Air 2017 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB), $649.99 (originally $999.00) from Amazon [You save $349.01]

Every one of these discounted MacBooks also comes with a free year of Apple's TV streaming service, Apple TV+, as part of a promotion the company is running on any major device purchased through 2019.

Apple also has a four-day shopping event that ends today, which offers up to a $200 gift card alongside certain Apple purchases, namely computers. It breaks down like this for Apple laptops: buying a MacBook Air nets you a $100 Apple Store gift card, while a MacBook Pro or iMac purchase scores you a $200 Apple Store gift card.

Some of the deals may appear to be out of stock, but you can often add them to your cart and still get the deal price. We've seen several deals go in and out of stock or sell out entirely.

We'll be updating this article throughout the rest of Cyber Monday, so keep it locked to your browser tabs or bookmarked for the very latest and best MacBook deals on Cyber Monday.

What makes these deals great buys:

Vizio 65-inch P-Series Quantum, $880 (originally $1,200) [You save $320]: Vizio's P-Series is one of our favorite affordable TVs. For $879.99, you'll get an impressive display that supports a wide range of HDR content and a 120Hz panel that's great for gaming.  August Smart Lock Pro + Connect, $120 (originally $280) [You save $160]: This is our favorite smart lock currently on the market, and it has never been discounted this much. It works with Nest, SmartThings, Alexa, Google Assistant, and HomeKit, and it offers geofencing and a number of other advanced features.   Asus Chromebook C433, $369.99 (originally $529) [You save $159.01]: This brand-new Asus 2-in-1 Chromebook is already seeing a hefty discount for Cyber Monday, making it one of the cheapest new Chromebooks you can buy. You'll also get two USB-C ports, one USB Type-A port, and a microSD card reader for extra storage. Jabra Elite 65t True Wireless Earbud Headphones, $100 (originally $170) [You save $70]: If you're eyeing true wireless earbuds but don't want to shell out for AirPods, try these. They look nice, provide a balanced sound, and can last five hours on a charge.  Google Home Mini, $20 (originally $49) [You save $29]: If you want to get a smart speaker for cheap, the Google Home Mini is an excellent choice. The speaker quality won't blow you away, but it provides great sound for small rooms and brings the power of Google into your home. Roku Ultra, $60 (originally $100) [You save $40]: This Roku is our favorite streaming device. Just connect the box to your TV via its HDMI port and you can stream 4K video and HDR content and connect to any streaming service you need, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO, and more. Unlike its predecessor (the Streaming Stick Plus), it sports a headphone jack and programmable remote shortcuts.   Sennheiser PXC 550 Noise-Canceling Headphones, $200 (originally $350) [You save $150]: These are excellent noise-canceling headphones with customizable touch controls, comparable to Bose's QC35. They're cheap because they're a couple of years old, not because they're bad. Withings Body+ Body Composition Wi-Fi Scale, $50 (originally $99) [You save $49]: The Withings Body+ (formerly Nokia Body+) is one of the best smart scales out there. It measures a number of stats, including weight, body fat, muscle, and bone mass, and displays them all in a convenient smartphone app.    Apple MacBook Air, $900 (originally $1,100) [You save $200]: The new MacBook Air is one of the best laptops you can get; our reviewer called it "the best laptop money can buy." It sports a beautiful 13-inch display, and an excellent keyboard and trackpad. This model comes with a solid Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and a 128GB solid-state drive. Apple iPad, $250 and up (originally $329+) [You save $80 to $100]: This new device is our favorite tablet on the market. It has an excellent 10.2-inch screen and a fast A10 processor. You can even use its fingerprint sensor to buy things with Apple Pay. For an extra $100, you can get the Apple Pencil stylus to write or draw on the tablet.  Ninja Foodi 8-Quart 9-in-1 Pressure Cooker & Air Fryer, $200 (originally $280) [You save $80]: Best Buy offers a lower price than Amazon on this multi-functional cooker that can also air fry foods. It's a large piece of equipment, but it's also the only one you'll need on your counter. All you need to do is stick your ingredients in the pot, select a cooking function, set the temperature and time, and press "Start," and your meal will be ready within half an hour. Our reviewer found it very simple to use, quick to cook, and easy to clean. Free $150 Best Buy gift card when you buy 2 or more Maytag or Whirlpool appliances totaling $1,999 or more: $150 might not seem like a lot in the grand scheme of a large appliance purchase, but it can help you get a pair of headphones or a nice kitchen appliance for free the next time you shop at Best Buy. Oculus Go 32GB, $149 (originally $199) [You save $50]: The Oculus Go is a comfortable, sturdy VR headset that stands on its own — no computer necessary. It's our favorite budget VR headset because it provides a comparable experience to that of the Oculus Rift (our favorite Oculus headset) at a much lower price. HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro Wired Optical Gaming Mouse, $24.99 (originally $44.00) [You save $20]: This is the lowest price we've ever seen on this gaming mouse, which Tom's Guide called "the best $60 gaming mouse." It sports fantastic textured grips that make it super comfortable to use. You can also customize its color profile and program what each button does.

Arcadegeddon is a new arena shooter from Friday the 13th dev IllFonic

A new round of layoffs are due to hit WarnerMedia Entertainment's marketing and international sales teams starting early next year, the company confirmed to Business Insider. The entertainment company disclosed the job cuts, which will affect more than two dozen non-union positions, in two New York State filings published in November. The layoffs are the latest to hit WarnerMedia since it was acquired by AT&T in 2018.Click here for more BI Prime stories.

AT&T's WarnerMedia Entertainment — which includes HBO, Turner, and Warner Bros. — plans to cut more than two dozen marketing and international sales jobs in New York next year.

The entertainment company disclosed in two New York State filings published in November that it would eliminate 12 non-union jobs within two weeks of February 1, 2020, and another 15 jobs between February 12 and the end of the year. The filings were submitted by HBO.

The layoffs will hit WarnerMedia Entertainment's marketing and international sales teams, to eliminate overlap as the departments are restructured, a WarnerMedia Entertainment spokesperson told Business Insider in a statement.

"It was recently announced internally that WarnerMedia Entertainment's marketing and international sales teams are being restructured, resulting in some unfortunate job eliminations due to duplication and centralization of responsibilities," the statement said. "Although these changes are common when groups are merged, it is always difficult to lose valued employees."

The layoffs are the latest to hit WarnerMedia since it was acquired (under its previous name, Time Warner) by AT&T in 2018. The companies have not revealed how many jobs have been slashed because of the merger, but WarnerMedia has disclosed at least 50 job cuts in New York State filings this year.

Alexandra Steigrad at the New York Post reported in October that the number of cuts could be in the "high hundreds," citing one insider.

The new cuts also come as WarnerMedia prepares to launch HBO Max, its streaming competitor to Netflix, in May 2020.

Mark Zuckerberg's non-answer about his secret dinner with Trump perfectly illustrates why his views about political speech are under fire (FB)

In October, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was in Washington, D.C., for a grilling by lawmakers.

During the same trip, Zuckerberg did two other crucial things: He stopped at Georgetown University to give a talk on political speech, and he had a private, undisclosed dinner with President Trump.

We'll get back to the latter event in a moment, but let's start with his speech at Georgetown.

"We're at another crossroads," Zuckerberg said in his speech. "We can continue to stand for free expression, understanding its messiness, but believing that the long journey towards greater progress requires confronting ideas that challenge us. Or we can decide the cost is simply too great. I'm here today because I believe we must continue to stand for free expression."

The "free expression" Zuckerberg was speaking about specifically referred to political speech. Even more specifically, Zuckerberg was speaking to Facebook's decision to not fact-check advertising from politicians on the massive social network he runs.

Simply put: "Facebook exempts politicians from our third-party fact-checking program," Facebook's vice president of global affairs and communications, Nick Clegg, said in September. That means politicians can run ads with lies on Facebook, and Facebook won't stop those ads from running, nor will it inform users that the ad contains lies.

Riccardo Savi/Getty Images

Facebook relies on third-party fact-checking for the majority of ads run on its social network. It adheres to an international standard for fact-checking: The International Fact Checking Network, run by Poynter.

That third-party fact-checker scrutinizes "public, newsworthy Facebook posts, including ads, with articles, photos, or videos." There is one exception to this fact-checking effort: political advertising.

Facebook lays out its reasoning in an official document. Under the question, "Why are politicians not eligible?," the explanation is as follows: "Our approach is grounded in Facebook's fundamental belief in free expression, respect for the democratic process, and the belief that, especially in mature democracies with a free press, political speech is the most scrutinized speech there is. Just as critically, by limiting political speech we would leave people less informed about what their elected officials are saying and leave politicians less accountable for their words."

Between Facebook's official policy and Zuckerberg's repeated, impassioned defense of the policy, Facebook's CEO comes across as a true believer in the importance of political transparency.

Even if politicians are lying in their ads, Zuckerberg contends, the public should see those ads as it's part of political speech. "We don't do this to help politicians, but because we think people should be able to see for themselves what politicians are saying," he said in his speech at Georgetown.

Getty/Business Insider

But Zuckerberg's interest in the public being able "to see for themselves what politicians are saying" apparently ends when it comes to eating dinner with the US president.

The details of the dinner in October remain elusive, but some new information came out of an interview with Zuckerberg on "CBS This Morning" on Monday.

"We talked about a number of things that were on his mind, and some of the topics that you read about in the news around our work," Zuckerberg told the cohost, Gayle King.

Zuckerberg refuted that Trump lobbied him in any way during the dinner, and then made a stunning statement: "I also want to respect that it was a private dinner with private discussion."

To be clear, we're talking a private dinner between the President of the United States — the most public role of all public roles in American life — and the CEO of one of the world's most powerful companies.

There's a duplicity in this that's evident: Zuckerberg believes in open, uncensored political speech ... until asked by a reporter about a secret, private dinner he had with the US president. The contradiction makes Zuckerberg's previous statements less believable — rather than an impassioned believer in the First Amendment and political transparency, Zuckerberg comes across as a businessman who is using American political traditions as a means of defending a widely criticized company policy.

‘Brotopia’ inspired OODA Health to raise its $40.5M round only from firm’s with female partners

TikTok publicly apologized to a 17-year-old girl who was suspended from the platform shortly after posting a series of videos condemning China's oppression of the Uighur Muslims.Feroza Aziz remains unconvinced by TikTok's apology, saying she believes TikTok is helping China censor politically sensitive content.TikTok is owned by a Chinese company. Tech firms in China often adhere to the Communist Party's demands to censor politically sensitive content.TikTok has repeatedly denied censoring or demoting politically controversial content, and tried to emphasize its fun and lighthearted videos instead. It's not doing a great job.Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

TikTok's catastrophic public-relations fallout over its suspension of a teen girl who posted anti-China videos has shown that it's almost impossible to run a viral social-media platform while following Beijing's rules.

On Wednesday, the video-streaming app issued a public apology to 17-year-old Feroza Aziz, whose account was suspended after she posted a series of viral videos condemning China's mass surveillance and detention of Uighur Muslims.

TikTok has repeatedly denied suspending Aziz over the anti-China clips, claiming she was suspended for posting a video featuring the terrorist Osama bin Laden on a previous account.

That video showed a list of celebrity crushes, with bin Laden's image added as part of "dark humor" at the end, Aziz told Business Insider on Wednesday.

—Alexandra Ma (@AlexandraMa15) November 27, 2019

Aziz has publicly doubted that the bin Laden video was the cause of her suspension, saying she thinks she was punished for standing up to China instead.

The inherent difficulty of running a social media platform according to China's rules

The entire episode has brought to light the inherent difficulty of running a viral social-media platform while being under China's watchful eye.

TikTok, which is run by Chinese company ByteDance, has exploded in popularity since it launched in 2017, having accumulated a total of 1.5 billion downloads in two years and outperforming Instagram in app downloads this year.

It is mainly popular among teens, who create and share content that mostly involve memes, dances, and lip-syncing.

A man walks past a TikTok sign at the International Artificial Products Expo in Hangzhou, China, on October 2019. China Stringer Network/Reuters

Simultaneously, it has faced mounting criticism and concern over its links to the Chinese government, which often compels domestic tech companies to censor content.

TikTok's Chinese counterpart, Douyin — which does not share the same content or userbase as TikTok — has routinely purged anti-China videos from its platform.

Leaked internal instructions show China's influence

TikTok, which is based in California, has repeatedly tried to distance itself from its Chinese links. ByteDance is currently trying to separate TikTok from much of its Chinese operations.

But a series of leaked internal instructions, published by multiple news outlets in recent months, show TikTok moderators being told to remove or demote politically and culturally sensitive posts. Here's a rundown of those reports:

In September, The Guardian reported on leaked internal guidelines instructing moderators to censor content that criticize controversial topics about China, such as its socialist system, Tiananmen Square, and Tibet.Moderators were also told to censor LGBTQ content in conservative countries, like Turkey, according to The Guardian.TikTok confirmed the guidelines in both reports, but said they were no longer in use and that "we have since made significant progress in establishing a more robust localized approach."On November 5, six former TikTok employees based in the US told The Washington Post that moderators in China told them to censor "culturally problematic" videos showing vaping, "heavy kissing and more suggestive dance moves," and "social political topics."TikTok has said that it doesn't censor political content or take instructions from China. On November 22, the German news site Netzpolitik published a leaked excerpt from TikTok's new moderation guidelines, which included instructions not to promote videos related to political protest. The company did not deny the authenticity of the Netzpolitik documents, but said it "does not moderate content due to political sensitivities. Our moderation decisions are not influenced by any foreign government."On November 28, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) think tank published a report claiming that ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, works closely with the Chinese government to endorse police content, facilitate human rights abuses, and surveil and censor content around the world.Bytedance denied all of ASPI's claims.TikTok has also repeatedly insisted that it protects user data and has not handed them over to the Chinese government, which has the power to compel tech firms to hand over personal data and private conversations, without the platforms having to notify users.
TikTok chief Alex Zhu. John Phillips/Getty Images for TechCrunch

TikTok has been keen to emphasize its lighthearted side, with the company's leader Alex Zhu telling The New York Times earlier this month that political discussion is allowed as long as it aligns with the platform's "creative and joyful experience."

The US military is trying to figure out what China can 'see' inside TikTok

But despite these attempts, it has not managed to shake off any suspicion of its links to Chinese censorship.

The US Army and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, a national-security panel, are currently investigating how it handles user data.

TikTok has publicly apologized to Aziz, but she still isn't convinced — meaning the company still has a lot to answer for.

"I really doubt that TikTok is ultimately saying the truth about what's happening here," Aziz told Business Insider on Wednesday. "I think that something is going on and TikTok doesn't want people to find out what's going in China."

DataRobot aims to accelerate AI delivery and operationalize low-code dev

Cards Against Humanity just upped the stakes with its latest Black Friday challenge, as it pits its writers against artificial intelligence in a competition to decide the fate of its employees jobs. The company has repeatedly satirized the popular retail holiday, selling deeply discounted items like a $20 bill and a life-size cutout of Orlando Bloom last year, and crowdfunding a massive hole in the ground for no reason. This year, it is livestreaming a 16-hour long competition in which its writers battle a card-writing algorithm to see who can write the most popular new pack of cards. It's a clever stunt, following up on presidential candidate Andrew Yang's warning that Americans are losing jobs to automation. But the company says it'll let viewers read into the deeper implications of the challenge. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

Cards Against Humanity is back to its usual pranks this Black Friday.

The maker of the irreverent card game announced on Friday that it had written (or, as it explained, hired a kid to write) a machine-learning algorithm to write its cards. And it's now pitting its employees against the algorithm, to see who can sell more card packs.

The stakes are high, according to the company. Should the writers triumph, they will be awarded $5,000, a tidy holiday bonus. But should the algorithm win, the company website says it'll fire the writers.

"Listen, we only care about two things: reducing labor costs and increasing comedy efficiency," the company writes on its site. "That's why we've trained a powerful neural network to replace our expensive, cannabis-smoking writers. Today, we're giving the writers one chance to save their jobs from automation."

Cards Against Humanity is known for its satirization of Black Friday, and over the years, it has pulled off a series of ridiculous stunts. Last year, they launched a 99% off sale, selling everything from dollar bills to a life-size cutout of Orlando Bloom. Back in 2016, the company managed to raise more than $90,000 to crowdfund digging a massive hole in the ground for no reason.

This year's stunt is a little more dystopian, tapping into nationwide concern that automation is replacing jobs.

A grueling, 16 hour-long livestreamed competition based on who writes the better-selling card packs will decide the human writers' fates. And the company has made the tally (AI card sold vs. human cards sold) available up on their website. Web browsers can even upvote or downvote their favorite cards written on either side, although whether the votes will decide future card packs seems unclear.

The company website says that this year's stunt is to "'get attention and make money while overworking our employees," in what the company says is the true spirit of Black Friday.

But the company has largely stayed away from a political position on the automation threat, only joking about presidential candidate Andrew Yang's universal basic income campaign on their FAQ.

"Does this mean I should support Andrew Yang?" is a question that appears on the company FAQ.

"Who?" Cards Against Humanity asks in response.

A company spokesperson told Business Insider, "Mainly, we wanted to see if it would be funny for a computer to write jokes. We'll let the viewers read into the deeper implications." They did not respond to Business Insider's question on whether or not they would actually fire the writers.

Six hours into the competition, the humans appear to be winning with slightly more than 2,000 card packs in the lead. Packs written by algorithm and human writers are each available at $5 per pack.

How to turn off 'tablet mode' on your Windows 10 device in 5 simple steps

If you have a touch screen computer and Windows 10 — like the Microsoft Surface Book 2 — you're probably familiar with tablet mode.

Tablet mode is when your computer disables use of the keyboard (often because it has been folded over or detached) and turns itself into what is, functionally, a tablet device.

Most computers with this ability give you the option to have your computer automatically switch in and out of tablet mode when it senses itself being folded into tablet shape, or will ask you if you'd like to switch.

However, for those who don't use their computer's tablet mode at all, this function can be annoying and make it difficult to use your computer.

Here's how to turn it off.

Check out the products mentioned in this article:

Windows 10 (From $139.99 at Best Buy)

Microsoft Surface Book 2 (From $2,899 at Amazon)

How to turn off tablet mode on Windows 10

1. Click the Start button — the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
