Join iStart Valley for the 10th Year Anniversary and Global Entrepreneurship Week - 2022 Celebration on Saturday, November 19th at 10.00 AM CST. Goal of the Global Entrepreneurship Week is to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world.

iStart Valley has been a partner since the inception of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in 2008 which started with an emphasis on inspiring young people to make their mark. GEW has quickly grown to become a comprehensive effort that engages entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, support organizations and others collaborating to advance economic growth and innovation in more than 180+ countries around the world. This global event is powered by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a diverse collection of national host organizations in 180+ countries and 25,000 local partner organizations.

This year iStart Valley is pleased to present keynote "From Dreamer to Entrepreneur - Challenges, Risks, Rewards" by Deboshree Dutta, Founder & CEO - Criya, Backed by Y Combinator, Former Head of Products at PayPal. Followed by these inspiring presentations, we have an announcement from iStart Valley’s new Alumni Advisory Council and the program will end with the live Final Pitch from the Hackathon 2022.

Deb is the founder & CEO of Criya - “Shopify for services”, that helps women grow their side hustles and small businesses into booming careers. Deb holds a Masters in Computer science from Carnegie Mellon and before starting Criya, she was Head of Product at PayPal, and has over 12 years of experience in Silicon Valley. But Deb has been the quintessential side hustler - while keeping up with her demanding day job, she has been a content creator for over 7 years. With over 160K followers on Instagram, Deb has been sponsored by 300+ brands and has traveled the world on partnerships. Her startup Criya is backed by Y Combinator  (home to unicorns like Airbnb, Door dash etc). Deb’s vision has always been to build technology with the purpose of empowering women to embrace careers of their choice and participate in the global economy. With Criya, she and her team are reimagining how over 50M creators, particularly women, monetize their talent - by enabling them to run professional businesses by providing them an intuitive, powerful technology platform, resources and supportive community, so they can carve their journey toward financial independence..
