Hello, my name is Ruhi Desai and I am a Sophomore at the John P. Stevens High School. Looking to enter the field of science, I have been the Captain of a Vex Robotics team, winning awards for build technique, programming, and ethics in STEM. Furthermore, it allowed me to develop an interest in AI, Robotics, and technology in general. In addition to serving as Co-President on iStart Valley’s Youth Innovation Council, I am the SPL of Troop 2G in Scouts BSA, of Edison, New Jersey, in which I plan meetings, camping trips, hikes, and award ceremonies, amongst other events. I am a potential member of the National Honor Society, and am in the JPS Marching Band. I am also a member of my school’s Student Council Executive Board, which includes regulating school events which I help plan. I am a member of the Astronomy club, Girls Who Code, and Hawkeye, which is our school newspaper. I am looking forward to leading the Youth Innovation Council to success, in multiple realms of innovation, spreading the unending and valuable knowledge of the potential of technology.
