Trisha Balakrishnan
Director
Trisha is a sophomore at the Awty International School in Houston, Texas. She was an intern at iStart Valley’s 2024 High School Internship Program and earned the Gold Presidential Service Award for completing 100+ hours during the internship. She leads multiple STEM-related clubs at school, including the Project C.U.R.E. Club, in which she and her peers think of various ways to give back to the community, through the non-profit organization Project C.U.R.E, where she volunteers regularly. She is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She also runs multiple non-profit startup organizations, such as TeensForVaccine, with her sister, and loves thinking of new and innovative ways to help the people around her. She also enjoys using her creative side by creating art pieces which have been exhibited nation-wide. She loves applying concepts of STEM and technology to create real-world solutions and hopes to promote youth entrepreneurship through iStart Valley’s platforms, and give back to her community. Outside of school, she is also a nationally ranked and rated fencer. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, fencing and drawing. She is currently a part of the Innovation Subcommittee.
