Saesha Loonker is a rising senior at Elkins High School from Houston, TX (graduates 2025). She is known for her leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. She is excited about technology and its applications in biological sciences. Saesha is passionate about the environment and was given the chance to reform the recycling system in her county. She improved the efficiency and accessibility of recycling facilities by adding more bins to areas with higher foot traffic. Saesha co-founded the Youth Gavel Club, a public-speaking club catering to middle and high schoolers. She has a presidential service medal and was the 1st place winner of the JP Morgan & Chase tech challenge and the 3rd place winner of the Global Startup Battle. Saesha, with severe eczema herself, is an ambassador for others with eczema and enjoys researching breakthroughs in treatments and the various triggers of the disease. In her free time, she enjoys singing in her school's choir, writing for her blog, uplivingworld.com, and tutoring for the SAT. Currently, Saesha leads the technology subcommittee.
