Mahalakshmi Patchava
Senior Director
Mahalakshmi Patchava is a junior at Washington High School in Fremont, California. She takes on the role as a Senior Director in the Innovation Committee in the YEC. She aspires to pursue a career in Computer Science and hopes to combine her entrepreneurial experience with her passion for technology. She completed a fall internship at iStart Valley and received a Presidential Award. Furthermore, her team's project, Clublify, was recognized as one of the most innovative startups. Mahalakshmi is actively involved in her community and holds leadership positions. She serves as the vice president of the MedLife Club at Washington, which aims to assist rural communities in South America with medical and educational needs. Additionally, she serves as a Fundraiser Committee Lead at her school's American Cancer Society club. Alongside her extracurricular involvement, Mahalakshmi has a keen interest in coding and has developed numerous projects intended to benefit her peers. These range from a college suggester to an LLM chatbot. She also participates in research focusing on AI systems in mental health. In addition to her academic pursuits, Mahalakshmi has a busy schedule with multiple AP courses. During her free time, she enjoys playing the violin, practicing photography, and creating architectural art.
