Have you heard of Global Entrepreneurship Congress? The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an inter-disciplinary gathering of startup champions from around the world—where entrepreneurs, government officials, investors, researchers, thought leaders and policymakers work together to bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

GecThe 2013 Congress takes place from March 18 – 21, 2013, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is hosted by Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Kauffman Foundation and Endeavor Brazil and made possible by Dell and NYSE Euronext Foundation. Over the past three years, the Congress has contributed to the expansion of an entrepreneurial ecosystem, connecting people across borders and sectors to unleash their ideas and transform innovation into reality.

iStart Jax will be attending global entrepreneurship congress in 2013, so that we can build new relationships and leverage resources from these relationships for the benefit of Startup enthusiasts and entrepreneurs in Northeast Florida. Stay tuned!

StartupBus is an invitation-only community of hackers, hustlers and hipsters passionate about startups. Teams compete in an annual hackathon-style competition on buses traveling across America at 60 mph towards Austin in time for SxSW, where they will pitch to top-tier angels and VCs. The competition is intense, the constraints are challenging and the bonds forged are testament to the experience Buspreneurs share.


iStart Jax is pleased to partner with StartupBus. Director of iStart Jax, Sheena Koshy will be on the Startup Bus. Sheena will be also helping the Startups on the Startup Bus for the social media support.


Buses depart respective cities March 3rd and arrive in San Antonio, TX for a welcome reception hosted by Rackspace and then on to SXSW Austin, TX on the 8th.

Florida Venture Forum, Florida's oldest, largest and most prestigious statewide support group for venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, has invited the top ideas from Jacksonville Startup Weekend to present at their 2013 Florida Venture Capital Conference.
